Darjeeling

A prized black tea from the Darjeeling region of India, often called "The Champagne of Teas".

Where is darjeeling from?
Darjeeling is from the Darjeeling region in West Bengal, India.

How does darjeeling taste?
Darjeeling is considered to be a light, thin-bodied tea with a nice floral aroma. Upon tasting, a very unique “musky spiciness” often referred to as “muscatel” is immediately present, along with a somewhat astringent tannic flavor. The aftertaste is one of sweet, cooling notes.

What else is darjeeling called?
The Champagne of Teas. Also many are named for the estate they came from. Here is a short list of the more popular estates: Arya, Chamong, Glenburn, Lingia, Castleton, Jungpana, Makaibari, Margaret's Hope, and Risheehat.

Is darjeeling used for anything else?
Normally just drinking, as this is considered a “prized tea” in most parts of the western world, especially the United Kingdom.
